Now before we get into it I have to make this clear. You do modify all of this at your own risk, I’m not responsible, I’m just suggesting, These are ways that you can do this. I’m not responsible if anything goes wrong, but believe me I’ve done it and I am sure that.
SLOW PC? How To Speed Up Windows 10 Startup
It’s everything’s going to be fine as long as you get careful with what setting you change but I’m going to talk to you through everything that you’ll need to know when we get to that.
So the first tip you can do is go to your control panel. You’ll be able to search that no matter what version of Windows you’re on if you are on Windows10.
You can just do it in the bottom left search control panel and then you’ll get this option.
Now we want to get to the power settings.
First, now the way you do that is you go to system and security and then to power options now what you want to do is you want to make sure.
If your PC can handle it that high performance is selected, it says balance is recommended and that would probably agree with that.
But if you’ve got a beefy computer with a decent enough power supply putting it on high performance should improve things. It will be a drastic improvement and it will use more energy but it’s certainly worth it.
If you want to slightly improve your PC’s performance but I’m sure the actual difference will probably be very minimal but you can do that.
If you want the next thing is what you want to do is go to choose what the power buttons do.
If you click on that, it will take you to this screen, now what you want to make sure is checked is this turn on fast startup.
It’s recommended it will probably already be checked but you want to make sure that it is if it isn’t this will be a big improvement. Now as you can see on screen. It is currently greyed-out and that’s because I do not have not run the control panel as administrator.

So you need administrator privileges for this to be checked you can do that. If you have got administrative privileges which is at which I have you can do that by clicking this.
Change settings that are currently unavailable. So if you click that it will just basically log in as an administrator you might have to consult your administrator account. owner to actually do this so you can then check this box once.
You’re in administrative privileges, so that’s pretty much two tips, likely, you might already have those selected. So let’s go on to the next one and this is the one that will really improve performance.
So to get to the next part you want to right-click on your taskbar.
Go to task manager, So you’ve got all of your current processes.
Now you want to go over to the right and to start off as you can see we’ve got a list of styles and pieces of software that will automatically when you start your PC.
Start running and that obviously makes your startup time a lot of lot longer. So you can check the status currently of some of these are disabled some of them is that I don’t use some of them.
That I think I do need to disable so I can give you an example of what it’s like. The startup impact on the right here tells you how actually bad it affects.
You startup time so the lower ones you probably can get away with without making too much difference. But the high ones like this BlueStacks agent which I never use and haven’t used for a while.
it’s currently enabled that’s been making the stack of time a lot longer so stuff like that software that you’ve installed and you no longer use you can either completely uninstall the software. But you never know you might want to use it again.
So what you can do is right-click and disable it.
Now be careful because some of these things like the Java update scheduler Microsoft onedrive that doesn’t mean you don’t I don’t need to use that. Stuff like updates and stuff like that if you keep these enabled they will look for updates.
You may actually need those updates and stuff, there you’re going to need that. If I suddenly disabled something that.
That is to do with it you run the risk of causing your hardware to with problems with you have there really so be careful with what you do. This herbal and but if it’s software that you’ve installed and you no longer use.
Then you can do that right-click and disable stuff like Windows Defender notifications. I mean I don’t even know if that’s got your Windows Defender software but and those will keep it on just to be safe and it’s only got a low startup impact.
So right-click and disable whichever ones you think a safe narrow me do you do these at your own risk. I can disable some of these that overall should improve your startup time.
Now, this has been a very basic tutorial and you might have already known all of this. So I do apologize if that’s the case but this is aimed at people that might necessarily know that this exists. So I hope this (The Best Way To Speed Up Windows 10 Startup) topic has helped if it has remembered to share with your friends and I will see you in another trick thanks for coming.
