Charles Babbage

(1791-1871)

English mechanical engineer who originated the concept of a programmable computer.

His most famous invention was the Analytical Engine, which was the first computer ever created.

Ada Lovelace is credited with being the first computer programmer. She was Charles Babbage’s collaborator on the Analytical Engine.

There are a number of individuals that can be considered the fathers of computers, such as Alan Turing, John Atanasoff along with John von Neumann. But, we believe Konrad Zuse as the father of the computer after the invention of Z1, Z2, Z3 Z3, and Z4.

Henry Edward Roberts invented the term "personal computer" and is thought to be the founder of modern personal computer after he made public the Altair 8800 on the 19th of December 1974 .
