Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16215 has brought a new search bar to the desktop, which can be accessed by opening the Start menu, clicking on the "Search" icon, and typing " Cortana."

This new search bar allows users to easily find files and apps on their computer by simply entering a keyword or phrase. It also includes a "Recently Used" section

This new update is just the first step in Microsoft's plan to make Cortana more user-friendly. In the future, the company plans to add more features and options to Cortana.

If you want to disable the search bar, you can do so in the Settings app. Just open the Settings app, click Personalization, and then click Search & Apps. Under “Search experiences,” select “No search bar at all.”

Cortana is still present on desktop and mobile devices and offers more features than just searching files.
