Microsoft has made Windows 11 Insider Preview build 25136 available on the Dev channel.

This time, it includes a few significant new features. Notably, it has tabs in the File Explorer.

It's likely that it'll be released as part of an experience pack or in one of the many other ways that Microsoft distributes Windows features these days.

There's also new navigation, which you'll see if you glance at the File Explorer's left panel. Known folders have been separated from the This PC area and placed in their own folder.

In addition, recognised folders backed up to OneDrive will show the right path.

The following feature is new widget functionality. It's displaying information from the Finance widget, as seen in the bottom-left corner of the screenshot above.

That space is currently dedicated for weather information, so in this new build, it will display data from other widgets such as Finance and Sports.

The blog article made no mention of being able to alter what displays there.

As is customary, not everyone will have access to these new features. Even while Insiders in the Dev channel explicitly give up system stability when...

they join the Dev channel in return for the chance to test new features, Microsoft only makes those features available to a select few.

As always, you can et the build via Windows Update. If you’re not on the Dev channel, you can enroll by going to Settings -> Windows Update -> Windows Insider Program.
